Research

The application of computer simulation to study people-centric complex adaptive systems is my primary research interest. Such investigations improve the understanding of indirect effects that are not obviously related to their causes.

More specifically, in my research I examine social and economic processes by studying the emergence of complex behaviour from relative simple activities. I find this area particularly interesting and challenging as it is highly interdisciplinary, involving disciplines such as computer science, social science, psychology, management science, operational research, and engineering. Furthermore, I am interested in different forms of nature inspired computing, game character behaviour modelling and agent-based robotics.
